Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a US phone number without living in the US or having a US company?
Yes. You can rent a virtual US number in VoixCall from anywhere and use it for your website, app store listing, invoices and support page. Numbers start at $2/month, billed from your prepaid balance, and you can cancel any time.
Can customers call my US number?
Yes. Incoming calls to your VoixCall number ring in the VoixCall web app on your laptop or phone browser. Answering incoming calls inside the iPhone and Android apps is not available yet, so keep a browser tab open during business hours.
Can I receive verification codes (Stripe, banks, SaaS sign-ups) on the number?
Yes. Texts sent to your number appear in the Messages inbox, and 50 text segments per number per month are included. Some services refuse VoIP numbers for verification, so test the ones you depend on first.
Can I send SMS from the number?
Not yet. VoixCall numbers receive texts but can't send them, because outbound business texting in the US requires carrier (A2P 10DLC) registration. Calls work in both directions.
How much do calls to US customers cost?
Calls to US and Canadian numbers cost about 3¢ a minute (2.7¢ at current rates), including toll-free 1-800 numbers. You pay per minute from a prepaid balance, with no per-seat subscription.
Can my team share the number and the balance?
