Amazon International Customer Service Number: The Official Answer
Short answer: Amazon doesn’t have a separate international customer service number. The only general customer service number on Amazon.com’s own Help & Contact Us page is 1-888-280-4331. We also checked the help pages of Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.in, Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.au on October 20, 2026, and none of them lists an “international” line.
The catch is that 1-888-280-4331 is a US toll-free number, and those usually reject calls from foreign phones. From outside the US you have two reliable options:
- Ask Amazon to call you. Sign in, go to Customer Service, pick your order or issue and choose the phone option. Amazon rings the number you enter.
- Dial 1-888-280-4331 through the US network. VoixCall does this from the iPhone or Android app or a browser for about 2.7¢ a minute, so the toll-free line connects from any country.
Most other numbers that come up when you search for “Amazon international customer service” aren’t on any Amazon page. Some belong to scammers. The rest of this post lists the numbers Amazon does publish, how to use each option, and what sellers should do, since seller support works differently.
The phone numbers Amazon actually lists
We read each of these on Amazon’s own websites on October 20, 2026. Each line links to the Amazon page that lists it:
| Line | Number |
|---|---|
| Amazon.com customer service | 1-888-280-4331 |
| Amazon.com Disability Customer Support | 1-888-283-1678 |
| Amazon.ca customer service | 1-877-586-3230 |
| Amazon Pay (US) | 1-866-216-1075 |
| Amazon.co.uk, .de, .in and .com.au | None listed. Their support pages send you to Customer Service instead |
All of these lines are toll-free, and none of them is a direct-dial number for callers abroad. Amazon’s support options page describes its customer service as available 24/7, by phone, chat and email.
Call the store you ordered from. An Amazon.com order is handled by Amazon.com customer service, and an Amazon.co.uk order by Amazon UK, wherever you happen to be. Amazon’s accessibility support page warns that if you contact support without signing in, or your account country doesn’t match your address, agents may not be able to help fully with account issues. So have the account email or phone number and the order number ready before you call.
What about the “international” numbers other sites list?
Search for Amazon’s international number and you’ll find dozens of pages listing different numbers for the same country: a Seattle 206 number, several UK 0800 and 020 numbers, Indian 1800 numbers. None of the ones we looked up appear on an Amazon help page, and the sites contradict each other.
That matters because fake support numbers are a common Amazon scam. In October 2023 Amazon said it had taken down 10,000 phone numbers used in impersonation schemes the year before. Amazon has also filed lawsuits against scammers whose fake support websites told people to call a number to “activate” Prime Video, then charged them for upgrades that didn’t exist.
Amazon’s own page on how to identify fake phone calls lists the warning signs. Hang up if the caller:
- asks you to pay over the phone, by bank transfer or with gift cards
- offers a refund you weren’t expecting
- asks you to install an app so they can access your device
- asks for your password, a one-time passcode (OTP), card details or bank account number
- says your subscription is expiring or someone made purchases on your account, and pushes you to act now
As Amazon puts it, “legitimate Amazon representatives will never ask for OTP codes over the phone.” Only dial a number you found on an amazon.com address (or your own country’s Amazon site) or in the Amazon app. You can report a suspicious call at amazon.com/reportascam.
Option 1: Have Amazon call you
This costs you nothing, and for most order problems it’s the fastest route.
- Sign in on the Amazon site where you placed the order, or open the Amazon app.
- Go to Customer Service and pick the order, or describe the problem.
- When Amazon offers a phone option, choose it and enter the number you want Amazon to ring.
Two things to check if you’re abroad. First, the phone you give must be able to receive an international call where you are, so turn on roaming or Wi-Fi Calling. Second, if your problem doesn’t offer a phone option, chat is usually available instead.
Option 2: Dial 1-888-280-4331 from abroad
If you’d rather call Amazon yourself, for example because the callback option didn’t appear or you’re on a hotel Wi-Fi with no working SIM, you need a way to reach a US toll-free number from outside the US.
A foreign SIM usually can’t do this. US 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844 and 833 numbers are routed by the US toll-free system, and most calls that start abroad get an error tone or a “cannot be completed” message. Our guide to calling US toll-free numbers from abroad explains why.
VoixCall places the call through the US network, so 1-888-280-4331 connects from any country. You can call from the browser at app.voixcall.com or from the iPhone and Android apps.
| Number | VoixCall rate (October 20, 2026) |
|---|---|
| Amazon.com customer service, 1-888-280-4331 | $0.027 per minute |
| Amazon Pay, 1-866-216-1075 | $0.027 per minute |
Calls are billed per minute from prepaid credit, with no subscription, so 30 minutes including hold costs about $0.81. The dialer shows the exact rate before you press call.
Amazon.ca’s 1-877-586-3230 is a Canadian toll-free number. Amazon.ca doesn’t say whether it accepts calls from outside Canada, so if it won’t connect, use the callback instead.
Three VoixCall features help with this kind of call:
- The number Amazon already knows. If you verify the phone number on your Amazon account as your VoixCall caller ID, you call from a number Amazon has on file for you instead of an unknown one.
- A record of what was promised. Recording costs $0.003 per minute. With call transcripts switched on ($0.02 per minute, opt-in), you also get a short summary after the call with any refund amounts, dates and reference numbers the agent mentioned. Tell the agent you’re recording, and only record where that’s lawful.
- Credit that doesn’t expire. You can buy a small amount for this one call and keep the rest for later.
If you sell on Amazon (FBA and third-party sellers)
Seller support works differently, and this is where many sellers waste time abroad.
There’s no public phone number for Amazon Seller Support. 1-888-280-4331 is the shopper line, and the agents there handle orders, not seller accounts. Sellers contact Selling Partner Support by opening a case: in Seller Central, click Help, then choose the topic. Sellers on the Seller Forums have long reported that some problems offer a phone callback on Professional-plan accounts, and that Individual-plan sellers only get email. Seller Central’s help pages are behind a login, so check what your own account offers.
So a website offering an “Amazon seller support phone number” is listing the shopper line at best, or a scammer’s number at worst. Treat a call from someone saying they’re Amazon Seller Support with the same caution as the warning signs above.
Running an Amazon business from outside the US also means calling a few US offices that do publish phone numbers. We checked these on each organisation’s own site on October 20, 2026:
- IRS EIN line for international applicants: +1 267-941-1099, not toll-free, Monday to Friday 6am to 11pm ET. For getting an EIN by phone when your business is based outside the US.
- IRS international taxpayer line: +1 267-941-1000, same hours. For tax account questions and IRS notices.
- USPTO Trademark Assistance Center: +1 571-272-9250, press 0, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm ET. For general questions about a US trademark filing. Amazon Brand Registry asks for a registered or pending trademark.
- Payoneer Customer Care: +1 646-658-3113 (international). For marketplace payouts that are held or delayed. Payoneer also lists local lines for the UK, Japan, Singapore, Australia and China.
- US Customs and Border Protection: +1 202-325-8000 from outside the US. For import rules and questions about goods entering the US.
Couriers are usually the next call when inventory is stuck. FedEx, UPS and DHL Express all have pages in our directory with their official numbers.
The IRS EIN phone line is only for applicants with no legal residence, principal place of business or office in the US, who also can’t use the IRS’s online EIN application. The Form SS-4 instructions say the person calling must be authorised to receive the EIN and able to answer questions about Form SS-4, the EIN application, so fill it in before you dial. If you’d rather not phone, the IRS takes Form SS-4 by fax on +1 304-707-9471 from outside the US.
Mind the time difference. This week the IRS lines open at 6am Eastern, which is 11:00 in London and 15:30 in India. The USPTO’s 9am to 4pm window is 14:00 to 21:00 in London and 18:30 to 01:30 in India. UK clocks go back on October 25 and US clocks on November 1, so for that one week London times are an hour earlier. From November 1, India times are an hour later.

A short checklist before you call Amazon
- Sign in to the right store (Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and so on) and open the order before you dial, so you can read out the order number.
- Have your account email or phone number ready. The agent will use it to find and verify your account.
- Never share a one-time passcode, password or card number with someone who calls you. If you’re unsure, hang up and call 1-888-280-4331 yourself.
- Write down the agent’s name and any case or refund reference before you hang up, or record the call.

Frequently asked questions
What is Amazon's international customer service number?
Amazon doesn't publish one. On October 20, 2026 the only general customer service number on Amazon.com's Help & Contact Us page was 1-888-280-4331, and the help pages of Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.in and Amazon.com.au listed no phone number at all. From abroad you can either ask Amazon to call you back through Contact Us, or dial 1-888-280-4331 through a service that places the call from the US network, such as VoixCall.
Can I call 1-888-280-4331 from outside the US?
Usually not from a foreign mobile or landline, because US toll-free numbers reject most calls that start outside the US. VoixCall places your call through the US network, so 1-888-280-4331 connects from any country in the VoixCall app or browser, at about 2.7¢ a minute.
Does Amazon have a customer service phone number for the UK, India, Germany or Australia?
Not one that Amazon lists on its help pages. The support pages of Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.in, Amazon.de and Amazon.com.au say phone support exists, but send you to Customer Service to pick your issue, which is where the phone option appears. Amazon.ca is the exception: its support page lists 1-877-586-3230.
Is there a phone number for Amazon Seller Support?
No. Amazon doesn't publish a phone number for Selling Partner Support, and 1-888-280-4331 is the shopper line. Sellers open a case from Help in Seller Central. Sellers on the Seller Forums report that some problems offer a phone callback on Professional-plan accounts.
How do I know an Amazon phone number is real?
Only trust a number you found on an amazon.com address (or your country's Amazon site) or in the Amazon app. Amazon says it took down 10,000 phone numbers used in impersonation schemes in 2022. Its help pages say a real Amazon agent will never ask for your password, a one-time passcode, gift card details or payment over the phone.
